This is an example of the most basic way that we frame football jumpers at Up In Frames.
It consists of a basic box frame which is 20mm wide by 40mm deep.
There is only one mat board used behind the guernsey in this example and we put strips in the rebate the same colour as the mat to box it back from the glass. There are a wide range of mat colours to choose from.
A lot of places squash the jumper up against the glass in a shallow frame for budget jobs which can look pretty average.
Getting a jumper framed like this example would cost you $300. Plaques are an option and are an extra $30.
This is an example of a medium-priced framed football jumper.
This also has a basic box frame 20mm wide by 40mm deep to keep the jumper spaced back from the glass. There are around seven colours in this range of box frames to choose from.
This one has three mat boards in total with a v-groove and a window cut for the writing. It has a double mat up at the glass with the white mat board behind. Again, there are a large range of mat board colours to choose from.
You would be looking at $350 to get a jumper framed similar to this one.
The last example of a framed jumper is the top of the range.
This has a much chunkier frame around it with three mat boards, a v-groove, two photos and a plaque.
There are many different frame choices in this style and there are also a lot of colours to choose from.
This also has a double mat up against the glass and a white mat board behind.
This style would cost around the $400 mark including the plaque depending on frame choice and the amount of photos and additional windows etc. There are also a few glass choices which would vary the prices also.
This is just showing how the plaque and photos look close up. I think that they always look much better with a plaque.
